HOW ONE CAN ASSIGN THE KEY TRIGGER IN FORMS 9i.
I WANT TO ASSIGN F3 FOR EXIT, F8 FOR EXECUTE QUERY, CTRL+F FOR LOV AND SO ON....

you can reconfigure the fmrweb.res file in forms folder.but make sure you have a backup before changing.you can write triggers in key-f3,key-f8 triggers available or you can create a library and attach it all your forms

Why not just teach the users to use the default keys?

Thanks martin...its a migration from ingres to form 9i..so i want to give the user the same function key as ingres

Why? There will be no new Ingres applications being built at this installation. This is your BEST time to get the users to use the new keystrokes. You will regret this day if you DO NOT change the keys to the default keys. Remember - one of the many designers and programmers who comes after you MAY know where you live and MAY be mentally unstable. (This is a short form of an old programmer urban myth.)
