Hi,

I am facing a problem connecting the forms front end to the database. I have installed Oracle 8i and forms 6i both in the same drive. In forms front end when I try to connect to the database it gives me an error ORA:12203 : Unable to connect destination...

Please give me a solution to work over this.

Thanks
Venkat

You need to install the database software and then the forms software. There are two 'tnsnames.ora' files - one in the database directory structure and the other in the forms directory structure.

Search this forum for 'tnsnames ifile' and look at the oldest entry - http://www.orafaq.com/forum/m/126282/67467/?srch=tnsnames+ifile#msg_126282
