My requirement is such that the user should not be able to even type non-numeric characters in numeric field. checks can be done in when-validate-item and on-error but the user should not be able to type non-numeric characters.. Please help. I am using forms 6i.

Buy a numeric pad, hide the keyboard into the drawer and no user will be able to type anything but numerics Wink

Just kidding ... I guess it is not possible to check what is typed into the field until validation.

Make the field numeric and eventually assign a format mask in the property palette.
