Digging through the past? I bet you found a zillion interesting things there.
I agree, it is possible to create a block based on a stored procedure (both PL/SQL table type and REF CURSOR type). But, why didn't you mention all possibilities? Like a table, a view (non-updateable, updateable, view with INSTEAD OF triggers), a FROM clause query, or you don't have to base a block on anything (so called control block), and perhaps something else which ran off my mind.
Gosh, I just can't understand why would anyone resurrect a long-time-dead topic?
