i have a lot of record in a particular form. If i retrieve a record from this form using LOV and try to update i keep getting an error message of primary key constraint violated. but if a execute query and navigate to that particular record to update it, the record will be updated.

I need to by able to update after using the LOV to retrieve record.

can you advice

What is the code that you are using to populate the primary key? Please check that you are not repopulating your already populated primary key when you use the LOV.
