Is it possible to connect forms 5i with oracle 9i. If it is possible then plz give me suggetions.

If you can get to metalink, search on the title "Forms 5 and Oracle 10g". Forms 5i is desupported, but was certified for Oracle 7 and most of 8. Basically, "as long as you can create client connections (SQL*Net) to the database, then it will work."

Test using SQL*Plus from your PC. This will prove whether your tnsnames.ora file is okay or not. Then just fire up the Forms builder, connect to the database, and go to the bottom of the Object Navigator and see if you can see the various database objects.
