What is a "HandPunch 2000" machine? How would you like to use it with Forms 6i?

Hi,

Now our company has purchased HandPunch - 2000 for to keep all employees time-in and time-out everyday.

So i want to track each employee's id,time-in, time-out, sysdate into any database like MS-ACCESS, ORACLE.

please help me how to read from handpunch and put into database-table.

thanks in advance.

I see ...

Well, our "HandPunch" device (although its name is different, but share the same function with your machine) works as follows: people register when they come in or go out. Information is stored in the machine. Software developed by product vendor runs on a MS Windows computer as a scheduled task (every few minutes) and "downloads" data from the machine into a TXT file. Another job - but this time Oracle job, scheduled by DBMS_JOB package - reads this file and loads it into the database by SQL*Loader. Once data gets into the table, it is a matter of programming how to deal with information we gathered.
